Additionally, the hostel typically hosts a high percentage of young adults and couples, hence entry for minors is not permitted. This decision is due to the party atmosphere, alcohol consumption, etc., which can occur in the bar, restaurant, and river areas. Rainy season
The rainy season has arrived! While it doesn't last long, it provides a much-needed boost to nature, the river, and the community.
However, this also means the town experiences power outages due to strong winds and rain. To counter this, the hostel is equipped with a generator capable of providing power to the restaurant, bar, air-conditioned rooms, and reception. We strive to keep it running for as long as possible, but it's not a permanent solution. We eagerly await the return of power to the town, which usually happens within a few hours, so there's no need to worry!

Lanquin offers a wide variety of activities to do, from early morning hikes to parties and adventures on the river. Also, we are located just 20 minutes away from one of Guatemala's wonders, Semuc Champey where you can explore and learn more about our culture and nature.
